A Final Update on the Stolen and Wrecked Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 in Delaware – Torque News
Some reports have included quotes from representatives from Georgetown Chevrolet and their parent First State Chevrolet – whining that they have been pounded with rude phone calls, emails and social media postings but it seems to me that the dealership got exactly what they deserved.
Dealership Totals Customer’s Camaro ZL1, Owner And Dealer At War
Here’s how I understand it:
-car was purchased new by the people mentioned
-dealer wrecked the car with about 10,000 miles on the clock, refuses to share their own insurance info
-dealer fires employee who wrecked car
-presumably owner’s insurance pays for current depreciated value of car
-dealer finds a 2-owner car that has been in an accident and tries to sell it to owners
-car has higher mileage and other issues, is discounted $4000(I guess cheaper than insurance payout?) for this reason

Then I go to the dealer and talk to the GM, Scott . He says that MY insurance will need to handle the claim as it was a deer strike.
Then I notice there are college books on the passenger side floorboard. It seems my car became the service advisor’s commuter toy. I have admissions from the service adviser and the management that he was on his way to class when he crashed my car.
