    • drawing with fingers on an Ipad was much more difficult, so I decided to design my own stylish stylus. It took me a while to understand what makes a stylus work correctly, so I hope you’ll learn from my mistakes.

    • From where I sit, TCU’s administration deserves accolades for its handling of the recent drug bust in which 15 of its students, four of them football players, were arrested. I can’t think of another school that would hold a news conference on the same day of a drug sting, take questions, and appear to have cooperated so fully with police. That kind of transparency goes a long way toward rebuilding trust within the community.
    • I hate that this happens at the same time TCU is celebrating its entrance into the Big 12, but again, the school should be applauded for cooperating with authorities and not trying to stonewall the press or police .
    • Really interesting that Mack Brown might be hedging his bets – by recruiting pro-style quarterbacks like David Ash in the past, and now spread-offense quarterbacks, like recent commitment Tyrone Swoopes. Have to wonder if Bryan Harsin and Major Applewhite are on board with this.
    • “Wednesday, Jan. 4 just doesn’t work for families,” BCS executive director Bill Hancock told me. “Schools have started back up, people are at work. Fans like to watch them on TV. But for people who actually follow the teams, I think we’ve found those dates are not the best.”

    • In addition, league sources say Manning’s neck has potentially developed bone spurs just above the point where his latest fusion surgery took place in early September,
    • Feuer said Manning’s neck muscles at that time were still atrophied from his long period of inactivity following the September surgery, and he had yet to recover his full range of motion in the area.
    • League sources say the former leader of the Colts front office was taken off-guard by the intensity and pace of the 30-play session that Manning took part in.
    • A day later, league sources said, the team’s strength and conditioning staff impressed upon Polian that it had wanted to see how Manning responded to a fast-paced and scripted workout, because his recovery was not going to reach the next level if he simply continued to lob passes at a leisurely pace.
    • And the practice was conducted from the 25-yard line on in because that was then roughly Manning’s ceiling in terms of his arm strength throwing the ball.
    • Sources who were on hand for the practice say that while Manning was accurate with his passes, he threw nothing longer than 20-22 yards, and his passes wobbled at times, with perhaps 80 percent of his usual velocity
    • But that’s where things were going at that time, and it kind of speaks to the insanity of the situation.”
    • he team is concerned that Manning’s neck injuries have reached the chronic stage, and that there could be a genetic aspect to his condition.
    • TCU offensive tackle Ty Horn was charged with one felony count and one misdemeanor count of delivery of marijuana. (US Presswire)
    • Horn was involved in the sale of hydroponic marijuana “to college students and football players at Texas Christian University.”
    • Yendry revealed that he was Horn’s supplier, sold the officer more marijuana, and inquired about the possibility of obtaining mushrooms for future sale.
    • Brock reportedly told the officer, “They caught us slipping,” and that the test “wasn’t a big deal” because so many players would have been caught.
    • Brock also informed the officer that two teammates had been selling pills to other Horned Frogs, but they had since graduated.
    • on Feb. 7, when Johnson made his now-infamous statement that 82 people had failed the Signing Day drug test.
    • ”Sources told the Star-Telegram that Patterson ordered the [Feb. 1] drug test after a prize recruit told him that he would not attend TCU because of drug use by players.”
    • And the image hit, especially for a religious school, will obviously be impactful. There are Horned Frog football players pictured in their jerseys on felony arrest warrants.

    • Add new hotstrings: You can add a new replacement on-the-fly by hitting Ctrl-Shift-H, typing in your hotstring and the replacement text, selecting the trigger you want to execute the replacement (Enter, Tab, and/or Space),
    • You can also insert the clipboard contents into your replacement text by using the %c operator. The other special bit of text is %|, which lets you designate a place you’d like the cursor to return to after the text is replaced. I use this all the time with HTML tags I’ve scripted with Texter. For example:

      <!– videoId: yP4scl4nfqY –>

      <!– /videoId: yP4scl4nfqY –>

(For some reason this video and the one below are sticking – just give YouTube’s progress bar a little nudge.)

      <a href="%c">%|</a>

      • Texter’s other built-in variables are:

        • %ds: Short date, which will return the date in the following format: 3/9/2007.
        • %dl: Long date, which returns the date in the following format: Friday, March 09, 2007.
        • %t: Time, which returns the time as follows: 1:30 PM.
